What kind of license protection would
you like to purchase?
For maximum flexibility, we offer three different ways
in which you may purchase FlowJo User Licenses. The three options are
Serial number, Dongle, or Site License.
A Dongle is a small electronic
device that is attached to your computer. When it is attached, FlowJo
will be able to run on that computer, whether it is a Mac or a PC. You can easily move dongles from
computer to computer; however, if you lose the dongle, you will have to
purchase a new one (at full price). Dongles are not available as a one-year license.
Serial Numbers are based
on the Hardware Address of your computer and allow FlowJo to run only
on that computer. The advantages of a Serial Number license is that there
is nothing physical to lose, i.e., no possible financial loss and if your
computer needs to be repaired, we will be happy to provide you with a
temporary serial number to run on another computer. The disadvantage to
Serial Number licenses is that they are not easily transferred between
different computers. You can buy a ermanent serial number or, for a lower price, one that expires in one year. If you want a one-year license you must use a Serial Number. Dongles are not available as a one-year license.
Site License A client/server solution that allows FlowJo to check a list of hardware addresses from a Tree Star server and only uses one serial number for the entire staff. The user enters the serial number into FlowJo and they are ready to go! For more information:

NOTE: Older FlowJo Versions use different dongles. Version 3 dongles must be sent in for exchange. Purple dongles can be upgraded to work with various versions. Instructions for upgrade are found here.
Our new generation of black dongle (sold with versions 7 & 8) requires no driver and will work with versions 6, 7 and 8.
