Preferred Method of Locating the Hardware Address (HWA)

Download and install FlowJo (no purchase necessary). If you have not yet done this, click here.

Run/open FlowJo. You should get the License Information screen (at right).

Locate the HWA in the lower left corner of the License Information screen. Use this number in acquiring a serial number.
- If the License Information screen does not appear at startup, you can access it by going through the following FlowJo Workspace menus:
For Macs - FlowJo=>Serial Number
For PCs - Help=>Installation Help
Alternate Method for Locating the Hardware Address (HWA)
- For Macs:
- Apple=>About this Mac=>(click) More Info=>(select from left pane) Network=>(select from upper pane) Built-In Ethernet =>(look in lower pane for) MAC Address. Mouse over for a screenshot.
- For PCs:
- Start=>Run=>type in " CMD "=>When Command Prompt opens, type " ipconfig /all " =>Look for Local Area Network Adapter and underneath that look for Physical Address. Mouse over for a screenshot.
