Although printing will remain the dominant way to summarize analyses for some time to come, there are times when being able to write direct to web pages can make it easier to share, publish or archive your experimental results.  At the very least, this gives you the opportunity to check a lot of data, and determine what is worth printing.  And the trend seems undeniable; over time, more and more of what today is printed will tomorrow be posted.

To create a web page from FlowJo, click on the button showing a web in the top right corner of the StackViewer window.  You will be prompted to give the name and location of a folder which will hold the HTML text file and the JPEG image files which combine to form the web page.  If

The StackViewer window will create a different format of web page depending on what mode it is in.    In the Tiled Frames mode, it will produce a web page containing an embedded image for each frame in the stack.  Images from each Frame are saved as individual JPEG files, and an index.html file is generated to display them.

In the Animated Frames mode, the web page will contain an embedded QuickTime movie. An index.html file is also generated to wrap around the movie, and cause it to be loaded correctly by a browser.

In the first incarnation (ver 2.7), very basic pages are created and there is not much ability to customize their format within FlowJo.  The generated pages are editable in text processors or web authoring programs if further customization is required.  Your comments and feedback will determine the extent to which this feature is extended in future versions.
