1) New Release New Release Features -Tree Star is pleased to announce its latest versions of FlowJo. New features have been added and bugs have been fixed. Listed below are just a few of the exciting new features!

Windows – (Latest Version 7.1.3, released on October 9th, 2006)
• Preference Improvements for layout color and style
• Improved output of pdf, svg, gif in the layout editor
• New y-axis option for histogram overlays: Unit Distribution (normalizes the area under the curves to 1)

Macintosh – (Latest Version 8.2, released on October 12th 2006)
• New flexible Table Editor tools
• Boolean gates now compute up to 30x faster
• New platforms like Sample Validity Testing allow you to determine if the events collected during acquisition are uniform (i.e. unchanging over time). You can identify files which have clogs, discontinuities, or other problems. The platform can be automatically invoked for every data file through a Preference; the settings which fine tune how FlowJo identifies potential problems are set in the Platform window

2) WebEx We now offer free WebEx Seminars! These internet seminars are individualized, easy to schedule and allow you to share your desktop with one of our FlowJo experts. Please contact us by email at office@treestar.com for more information and to set up a seminar.

3) Welcome John Quinn! Speaking of our FlowJo experts....Tree Star is pleased to introduce you to John Quinn, the newest addition to our fantastic team of application scientists. John is a native of Philadelphia and lives with his family outside of the city. John completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Drexel University. John is available to schedule FlowJo seminars and training for our United States clients and is available for technical help by email. To contact John email him at john@treestar.com.

4) ASH 2006 Our Tree Star Application Scientists will be attending ASH (American Society of Hematology) in Orlando, Florida this year. The ASH 2006 Annual Meeting and Exposition will be December 9th- 12th. The FlowJo booth number is 534 and will be located next to the Cytek booth. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
