Histograms in FlowJo

Histogram is a powerful analysis tool in flow cytometry. This document is dedicated to explaining how to create and use histograms in FlowJo to aid your analysis.

There are two ways to create a histogram – one is by changing one of your graph axis into “Histogram”, other by selecting “Histogram” in Graph Type in the graph tool palette.

The only gating tool that works with histograms is the image009.gif. Creating regions using this tool will also create gates – FlowJo’s histograms can be used to create gates. When you draw a region using the histogram gating tool, you can either double-click the resulting “bar” on your histogram or select the population from the Workspace Editor:
