Duplicate name error.
You
can't have duplicate names of populations within the same generation.
FlowJo identifies analyses based on names: when you make a subset
of a population, and add this subset to a group (for instance),
then FlowJo has to search each of the samples in the group for a
population with the same name as the parent population... that's
how FlowJo decides where to apply the gate.
FlowJo's sample and analysis hierarchy follows a genealogical metaphor.
Thus, subsets are "children" of the parent population, etc.
No two siblings can have the same name; however, a child can have
the same name as a parent or cousin.
