 Duplicate name error

Duplicate name error.

You can't have duplicate names of populations within the same generation. FlowJo identifies analyses based on names: when you make a subset of a population, and add this subset to a group (for instance), then FlowJo has to search each of the samples in the group for a population with the same name as the parent population... that's how FlowJo decides where to apply the gate.

FlowJo's sample and analysis hierarchy follows a genealogical metaphor.  Thus, subsets are "children" of the parent population, etc.  No two siblings can have the same name; however, a child can have the same name as a parent or cousin.
