FlowJo version 2.7 represents a significant change in the way layouts are generated and used.  Layouts created with older versions of the program cannot be converted to this new format, since they are simply too different to be meaningfully converted.  You will have to create new layouts for this workspace.

All other items in the workspace (samples, gates, analyses, and tables) will be read in and used correctly.

If you wish to use the old layouts in the workspace, then close this document without saving it.  Run the old version of FlowJo (version 2.6) and use the layouts.
