Creating PowerPoint Slides
When you "batch" a layout in this way, you can direct the output to a series of PowerPoint slides for immediate use.
Each slide will comprise an iteration of the layout with the data from a sample from the current group, or whatever other iteration option you have chosen.
Click the Batch button in the upper right of the Layout Editor and select the PowerPoint tab from the Create Batch Report dialog (at right).
Select a location for FlowJo to place the file (double-click in the Filename field to bring up directory dialog), and FlowJo will create a file with the layouts name.
You also have the option of telling FlowJo to append the layout to an existing presentation by checking the Append checkbox.
You can also choose to have FlowJo open your slides after the batch has finished in PowerPoint, or just open Powerpoint and select the Open menu. Browse to the file and click it. Each panel of your batch will open on a separate PowerPoint slide.
Creating PDFs
Similarly, when you want to create a PDF file of your batched layout, select PDF tab in the Create Batch Report dialog, select an output destination (double-click in the Filename field to bring up directory dialog) and click create.
Check the Open PDF Viewer checkbox if you want to immediately view your results.
You can manipulate this file like any other PDF document.
