Setting Overlays Preferences

Select the Overlays button in the Preferences tool to open the Overlays preferences. Roll over the red dots for more information.

Check the boxes below to customize the display of data in the Layout Editor. Check this box to add histograms opposite the corresponding axes of bivariate plots. Check this box to include a legend beside each plot showing sample name, gating path, keywords and other configurable content. Check this box to add plots of the parent populations beside a plot in the Layout Editor.
Check this box to show backgating within the ancestry plots. Backgating displays the child population in color within each parent population.
Page breaks are dotted lines in the Layout Editor that show the printable area of each page. If the layout will be printed, objects in the Layout Editor should not overlap page breaks. Select this box to display a grid, like graph paper, behind objects in the Layout.
