Once you have defined a matrix (or opened one from file), assign tubes to the matrix by dragging files from the Workspace into the Samples area.
Naming a Matrix:
Name or rename your matrix at any time by selecting Untitled-1 in the field at the top and typing in a name relevant to your matrix. The new name will appear in the Compensation Matrices box at the left of the Compensation window (shown as Example Matrix at right). To change your matrix name, select it in the Compensation Matrices pane and edit the name in the field at the top of the Compensation Editor.
Identifying the Matrix:
Once the matrix has been applied, a colored bar will appear next to their names in the Workspace to show that they belong to this matrix (shown as red at right). You can change this color by clicking on the colored box next to the name of the matrix in the Compensation Matrices area of the Compensation Editor. A color palatte will display from which you can choose another color.
Removing a Matrix:
To remove compensation from individual samples, in the Samples area of the Compensation Editor select the sample(s) for which you want to have compensation removed, and click the Del button (or hit Delete on your keyboard). You can also remove the compensation from a sample by right-clicking the sample in the Workspace and choosing Remove Compensation from the menu.
To remove an entire matrix, hit the button labled with a "-" above the Compensation Matrices area of the Compensation Editor. Hitting the "=" sign will duplicate a matrix (often useful for comparison when adjusting a matrix by hand)
