Badges are indicators. They give information about sample focus and Compensation.
All badges are gray to start. Once activities such as having a sample in focus, deriving parameters, or applying compensation matrices have been performed, the badge will change to provide additional information.
The Diamond Badge
Gray with no fill indicates no sample is being acquired and no sample is being viewed in a Graph Window. Solid blue means that a sample is being viewed in Graph Window. When mulitple Graph Windows are open, the indicator wil reflect the Graph Window in focus (i.e. the last Graph Window to have been clicked on). Solid green indicates that a sample is being acquired, and the badge will be lit for the sample being acquired.
The Grid Badge
If the grid is gray, no compensation has been applied to the sample. Once compensation has been applied to the sample, the color of the grid will match the color of the matrix definition. ( In older versions of FlowJo the grid badge was a colored bar)
