Most operations in FlowJo are point-and-click oriented
rather than menu-based. Thus, there are relatively few menu items
specific to FlowJo. Click on each menu item to go directly to that
information (all information is contained on this page).

Workspace > File |
New Workspace - create a new workspace
Open Workspace - Open workspace into current window
Open Workspace in New Window - open workspace into new window
Save - Save current workspace
Save As - save current workspace with a different name/different
location
Save As Template - turn current workspace into a template
Revert - if you opened a document, made some changes, revert
will reset those changes.
Page Setup/Print Preview/Print...
Close - Closes current workspace. If last worskpace is closed,
program exits.
Exit - Exits FlowJo |

Undo - undo last operation
Redo - redo last operation (after undo)
Cut - remove from LE and place in memory
Copy - copy an item(s) from LE to memory
Paste - place an item from memory to the LE
Clear - remove an item from LE completely
Select all - select all items in the LE
Select None - if you have trouble un-selecting samples, use
this option
Select Every.. - useful for selecting every nth sample
Select Eq. Nodes - selects all nodes on this level with this
name (ex. all lymphocyte gates)
Collapse All - collapses all disclosure triangles in current
workspace
Preferences - launch FlowJo Preferences

Add Samples - click that to start
browsing for your FCS data.
Add Remote Sample.. - allows adding samples over FTP (specify
path and file name)
Remove Samples - select a sample and this menu option to remove
FCS data.
Add Keyword - allows users to enter their own keywords into
the workspace
New Group - creates a new group, brings up the group definition
dialog
Edit Group - click on an existing group, then this menu item,
brings up group definition dialog for current group
Remove Group - click on a group and this menu item to remove
the group
Remove Group Analysis -if you defined a group analysis node,
this menu item will remove it (select the node, then select
this menu item)
Add Statistics - toggle statistical nodes
Hide/show Statistics - toggle display of statistical nodes
in the workspace
Unify Analysis - see the FAQ
Open Graph Window - displays current FCS file/population in
Graph Window
Rename... - rename current node (may not work if group owned)
Sample Properties... - display keywords and system info of
currently selected FCS file
Edit Columns... - will allow you to define different columns
in your workspace
Sort Sample Lists... - just click the column header instead
to sort by the values in that column

Open Table Ediotr - opens the table editor

Define Comp Mtx - brings up the compensation
matrix definition dialog
Assign Comp Mtx - assigns a compensation matrix to a selected
FCS file
Define Transform - opens the transformation definition dialog.
This requires a comp matrix.
Derived Parameters - brings up the Derived
Parameters dialog.

engine interaction - important window to trace reproducible

turn on/off engine logging - toggles the logging of the engine.

Save - saves your current workspace/layout.
Page Setup/Print Preview/ Print - for printing. See the print
page for more details.
Scale to page - adjust the page size to include everything in
your current layout.
Scale to width - adjust the page size to the width of your layout
Scale to height - adjust the page size to the height of your

of the selected objects
Lefts - alings left edges of selected objects
Rights - aligns right edges of selected objects
Horizontal Centers - alings the horizontal centers of the selected
objects
Horizontal Spacing - aligns the horizonal spacing between selected
objects
Horizontal Spread - aligns the spacing between the centers of
the selected objects
Align to Grid - aligns selected objests to the grid
