 Adding samples

When FlowJo is launched, it opens with a blank workspace window. Naturally the first action should be adding samples into FlowJo. Please note that when FlowJo runs in Demo mode, only our demo data can be added. You need a valid serial number or USB Dongle to analyse your own data in FlowJo.

There are Four ways to add samples into FlowJo:

  1. "Add Samples" item from the Workspace menu or "add samples" button;
  2. Drag a folder from Windows into FlowJo (will add all subdirectories as well)
  3. Add remote samples from an ftp site. You must specify the whole string in the form ftp://username:password@ip.or.dns.address/directory/file.fcs for each file, or you can load a text "summary file" in the same format.
  4. Using a LIMS system, FlowJo will launch a workspace from your LIMS database. This is currently being tested.

Add Samples button

You will be shown the standard Open File dialog:

Clicking Open in the dialog above will add all of the contents
of the folder Compensation along with any subdirectories.

It is possible to add individual files by ctrl+clicking them to make a partial selection.
