| The compensation menus are a sub-menu off of the main "Workspace" menu. Define Matrix... Brings up the Compensation Dialog Window to begin the process of defining a new compensation matrix. To use this menu item, you must have a sample selected from the workspace window: this is how FlowJo knows which fluorescence channels are available. Assign Matrix... Asks you to open up a previously-created compensation matrix file and load it into the workspace. Additionally, the Platforms menu shows all the matrix files defined in the user's "My Documents" folder. You can quickly assign one of these matrixes to a file by clicking the file in your workspace (single click, to select it) and then going to the platforms menu and selecting the appropriate matrix file. Please note that re-using a comp matrix from one day to another is not recommended! Go back to the overview of compensation. |
