FlowJo for Windows

Launching FlowJo in Java currently takes up to 90 physical free ram. Therefore if you are running Windows with less than 256 megabytes of physical (not swap) memory, you may experience severe slowdown of your computer due to swap file access. To find out how much ram (random access memeory) is installed on your computer, right-click on “My Computer” and click Properties on the menu that pops up:

Here is a shot of the windows Task Manager (launches in 2K/XP by pressing ctrl+alt+del) . Task Manager shows the memory utilization of each open program.

Remember that task manager takes up at least  megs of ram ;) It is possible to find other programs on the list, which if ‘end process’ed, would free up memory for other, more useful processes. We do not recommend this procedure for inexperienced users.
