FlowJo is now a wholly owned subsidiary of BD.

Over the past 20 years, FlowJo has built a community of dedicated scientists who value our products for analysis and interpretation of proteomic and genomic data. We appreciate all that you have done to make our company what it is, and help us build a product that has advanced science. We are excited to join with BD (Becton, Dickinson & Company) and continue to work with you in your quest to learn more.

1. Who is BD and why did the company acquire FlowJo?

FlowJo has been acquired as a wholly owned subsidiary of BD, a global medical technology company that is advancing the world of health by improving medical discovery, diagnostics and the delivery of care. FlowJo will remain as a separate company but will complement BD’s multi-omics portfolio and enhances capabilities in flow cytometry and genomics, adding best-in-class informatics and analytical solutions, which address key challenges in analysis and interpretation of data─helping researchers accelerate scientific discovery.

2. What differences will FlowJo customers see?

FlowJo is a wholly owned subsidiary of BD but will remain as a separate company to ensure there is minimal disruption to our customers and other external partners. FlowJo looks forward to continuing its strong relationships with customers and is committed to continuing to work with customers no matter what brand of flow cytometer they use. At this time, it is business as usual and there will be no changes to your current customer service, support, licensing, ordering, fulfillment or billing processes.

3. Will FlowJo optimize its software for BD instruments so that I won’t be able to use my current, non-BD flow cytometer?

No. FlowJo will continue to support data analysis on data acquired from all flow cytometers, regardless of the manufacturer.

4. Will there be any changes to my contact, how I order products, or process invoices?

Your current point of contact will remain the same at this time. You will be contacted directly if there is a change in your business contact. Until notified otherwise, you can order products and process invoices the same way you have done it in the past.
